NSW Landcare Group Statistics - November 2012

NSW Landcare Group Statistics as of 1 November 2012 are attached.

These statistics reflect two important activities.

1. The Catchment Management Authority (CMA) statistics reflect the NSW govenment's recent move to reduce the number of CMAs. Sydney Metropolitan CMA has merged into the Hawkesbury Nepean CMA and Lower Murray-Darling CMA has been divided and reallocated to Murray and Western CMAs.
2. The Department of Primary Industries is currently conducting an exercise to identify and remove permanently inactive Landcare groups from the NSW Landcare Database. The significant fall in numbers since September 2012 is mostly due to this exercise.
