Submitted by NSW_Landcare_Co... on 21 January 2010 - 11:02am
  • News
Date:
20 Feb 2010 - 6:45am

Go on an exciting discovery walk through the Warriewood Wetlands on 19 February 2010, 7:45 pm - 9:30 pm.

Coastal Environment Centre educator and fauna expert, Sonja, will present an informal chat about local native fauna and take you on a guided walk. This chat will involve interesting facts about habitat and vegetation, bats and frogs and other interesting facts such as threatened species, simple things we can do to help minimise impact on fauna and fauna habitat.

You will have the opportunity to use spotlights to see what you can find and record bat noises using the anabat machine.

Most importantly you will discover how to enjoy this amazing natural wonderland whilst being a responsible visitor.

Costs are $8 for people 13 and over, $5 for kids 5-12 and $20 for families. Kids under 5 are free.

For more information and to book, please click here for the Pittwater Council website.
