Date:
28 Feb 2010 - 9:00pm

You are welcome to visit the 2010 Reptile Day at Wirrimbirra Sanctuary, 3105 Remembrance Drive, Bargo on 28 February 2010, 10 am to 3 pm.

Renowned wildlife experts, "Crocodile Encounters", will give shows and talks throughout the day again this year (shows at 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm), with plenty of hands-on opportunities for visitors.

There will be displays and activities, and, of course, you can take the Wirrimbirra Wildlife Walk and browse through the Native Nursery to find that special native plant for your garden.

The fabulous Wirrimbirra barbie will be fired up for a sausage sizzle, and the Café will have other goodies available for your dining pleasure.

You’ll find plenty of gift ideas at Wirrimbirra’s souvenir stall, including a fantastic selection of Australian-made soft native animals – perfect for your overseas friends.

If you’re not keen on spending too much time with snakes and such, Wirrimbirra has a variety of other native animals and birds for you to enjoy – kangaroos, wallabies, emus, wombats, tawny frogmouths, rainbow lorikeets and more.

The Macarthur Branch of the National Parks Association will run a bushwalk at 10 am through Wirrimbirra's Bargo Brush. To attend the bushwalk and find the exact location of meeting place ring Beth Mitchie michie@exemail.com.au or phone 02 4625 1583.
