Caring for our Country Business Plan - Call for Applications

The Commonwealth Government has called for investment proposals under its Caring for our Country Business Plan 2010/11. Caring for our Country is the Commonwealth's five-year (2008-2013) natural resource management initiative that focuses investment on six national priority areas:


  • National Reserve System

  • Biodiversity and natural icons

  • Coastal environments and critical aquatic habitats

  • Sustainable practices

  • Northern and remote Australia

  • Community skills, knowledge and engagement.

The Commonwealth is seeking applications that address these priority areas under the Open Call funding component of the Business Plan. The 2010/11 Business Plan outlines specific regions and sites where funding is being targeted. Proposals seeking funding outside these areas will not be considered by the Commonwealth.
