The Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, Senator Joe Ludwig, has announced the first round of the $99 million Action on the Ground program to help farmers cash in on Australia’s clean energy future.

The NSW Environment Trust is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOIs) to the major Environmental Research Program and applications to the Seeding grants.

Applications are being sought from community groups for a new NSW Environmental Trust funding stream, the Community Bush Regeneration Large Project Stream.

NSW Environment Minister Robyn Parker said the $8 million Community Bush Regeneration Large Project Stream is offering grants of between $200,000 and $250,000 for projects which will run for up to six years.

The Australian Government has announced the call for applications for the 2012-12 Caring for Our Country Business Plan. The Business Plan will provide funds to approved projects between $20,000 and $500,000.

Applications for funding under a key part of the Gillard Government’s strategy to cut carbon pollution and secure a clean energy future are now open.

The Coles Junior Landcare School Garden Grants offer of up to $1,000 to schools groups to help create gardens in their grounds or community, such as a bush tucker garden, water wise garden or veggie garden. All schools, kindergartens, daycare centers, and Scout youth groups are eligible to apply.

Individual grants of up to $30,000 are now available to support community groups and other organisations undertake projects that will repair and rehabilitate degraded non-urban land and non-tidal waterways in NSW. Landcare Australia and the Raymond Borland Bequest are providing total of $300,000 (excluding GST) for the grants.

NSW Oyster Industry Environmental Improvement Grants are now open for oyster farmers, community groups and landholders.
