The Blue Mountains Conservation Society is a voluntary group of about nine hundred members helping to conserve the World Heritage Blue Mountains region.

If you live in the Blue Mountains and would like to have your own beautiful waterwise native bush garden then The Blue Mountains Wildplant Rescue Native Plant Nursery is the place to come.  All the plants for sale are of local provenance and therefore ideally adapted to their environment. You can purchase native plants propagated from seed collected locally or, more interestingly, you can buy pots of 'rescued' plants. These are  plants which the Service's volunteers have saved from the clutches of the bulldozer.

The Border Landcare Organic Group was formed during the winter of 2002.
Every month members meet either at the home of one of the members for activities such as a farm walk, group discussions, interesting speakers, working bees, or we may go on a bus trip to places further afield.

The Border Rivers-Gwydir Catchment Management Authority is one of 13 Catchment Management Authorities in NSW established under the Catchment Management Authorities Act, 2003 . It is a source of specialist advice, education, training and funding to give effect to sustainable natural resource management in the Border Rivers-Gwydir Catchment area.

Bankstown Bushland Society has been a strong advocate for remnant bushland preservation since 1988. With a small core group of participants, we programme volunteer bush regeneration days twice monthly, many of these volunteer activities are in support of grants won from the Environmental Trust and from Envirofund.
