Macleay Landcare Network Inc is dedicated to supporting Landcare activities and skills sharing with agencies, landholders, networks and other NGOs across the Macleay Catchment.

The Maria River Wildlife Project has been operating for four years in an attempt to achieve conservation management outcomes for landholders. The project area covers 22,000Ha of highly diverse and significant habitats with an array of highly significant flora and fauna on the Mid North Coast of NSW. The project area is bounded in the north by the town of Crescent Head, the south by Port Macquarie, includes Limeburners Creek Nature Reserve / Wilderness, Goolawah State Park, other crown portions and freehold lands.

Established in 1995, the Mulgoa Valley Landcare Group is actively restoring the vegetation corridor along 10Km of Mulgoa Creek near Penrith.

The Murray–Darling Basin Authority is responsible for planning the integrated management of water resources of the vast Murray–Darling Basin — Australia's food bowl.

The Murrumbidgee Catchment Management Authority (CMA) delivers funding from the NSW and Australian Governments to help land managers improve and restore the natural resources of the catchment.  The Murrumbidgee CMA is a community-managed statutory organisation established by the NSW Government in 2004. It is overseen by a community-based Board and is an organisation run by local people for local people.

The Murrumbidgee Field Naturalists are a group of like minded people who share a belief that the biodiversity of the Mid Murrumbidgee Valley is worth knowing about and preserving.

The group fosters preservation of the locally endangered Koala population as well as being actively involved in fighting to protect the Hawks Nest and Tea Gardens environment.
