Caring for the environment in the Nambucca Valley

Nambucca Valley Landcare (NVL) is a non-profit community organisation whose primary role is to assist landholders living in the Nambucca River catchment to manage their natural resources, such as soils, water and vegetation, with a particular interest and expertise in the restoration of the Nambucca River and its tributaries.
 

The National Parks Association of NSW is a non-government conservation organisation that seeks to protect, connect and restore the integrity and diversity of natural areas in NSW through campaigning, community activities and bushwalking.

The Natural Resources Advisory Council (NRAC) was established by the NSW Government  in 2004 as a single source of integrated stakeholder advice on high level natural resources management and land use issues.

The Natural Resources Commission provides credible, independent advice to the NSW Government on managing the state’s natural resources.

The Nature Conservation Trust of New South Wales is a not for profit organisation set up under the Nature Conservation Trust Act 2001 to promote nature conservation on private land in New South Wales.

NatureKeepers involves the community a program of regular hands-on activities to learn about, monitor, protect and restore our natural environment.

The members of Norfolk Landcare Group are a small dedicated team that wish only to make a difference to the quality of life and habitat on the Island.

The Northern Beaches Roadkill Prevention Committee aims to reduce roadkill of native animals in the Northern Beaches, especially on the major arterial roads:

• McCarrs Creek Road

The Northern Inland Weeds Advisory Committee (NIWAC) promotes a regional approach to management of noxious and other environmental weeds by bringing together all local and state government organisations and other bodies involved in land management throughout the North West and New England Regions of New South Wales.

The Northern Rivers Catchment Management Authority (Northern Rivers CMA) is one of thirteen CMAs established under the Catchment Management Act 2003 and is is a statutory authority. 

Natural Resources, Environment, The Arts and Sport's job is to better understand the Territory’s biophysical environments, our diverse society, complex social history and artistic capability and to encourage excellence and participation in sporting pursuits so that Territorians have an opportunity to use these natural and cultural resources as a source of inspiration, innovation and personal and economic growth. 

As the State’s peak representative body in Aboriginal Affairs, the NSW Aboriginal Land Council aims to protect the interests and further the aspirations of its members and the broader Aboriginal community.

The Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water is the lead NSW Government department with responsibility for protecting and caring for out environment, managing water resources and developing and coordinating programs to address the impacts of climate change in NSW.

The Nature Conservation Council works to conserve nature and protect the water we drink, the air we breathe and the places we love.  We are a non-profit, non-government organisation representing 120 community environment groups across NSW.

The NSW Office of Water is a separate office within the NSW Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water. It is responsible for the management of the State's surface water and groundwater resources.

Waterwatch is a partnership. Support and funding for the program can come from State, Commonwealth and local government, from regional businesses and local communities including schools.

The NSW Wildlife Council (NWC) is the State’s peak body representing over 4,000 wildlife rescuers throughout NSW.

In recognition of the value of linear reserves, the NSW Government established the NSW Roadside Environment Committee (REC) in 1994 to promote and coordinate leading practice in linear reserve environmental management across the State.
