AABR was established in 1986 out of concern for the continuing survival and integrity of bushland and its dependent fauna in or near bushland areas, and seeks new members and friends for promoting good work practices in natural areas. The Association's aim is to foster and encourage sound ecological practices of bushland management by qualified people, and to promote the study and practice of Bush Regeneration.

If you live in the Blue Mountains and would like to have your own beautiful waterwise native bush garden then The Blue Mountains Wildplant Rescue Native Plant Nursery is the place to come.  All the plants for sale are of local provenance and therefore ideally adapted to their environment. You can purchase native plants propagated from seed collected locally or, more interestingly, you can buy pots of 'rescued' plants. These are  plants which the Service's volunteers have saved from the clutches of the bulldozer.

The Canal Reserve Action Group (CRAG) was first formed in 1994 to spearhead the community campaign to have the Lower Prospect Canal Reserve created. CRAG has now taken on the role of guardian of the reserve.

Bushcare volunteers work with Randwick City Council's Bushcare Officer on the bush regeneration program. We work on many sites around the Randwick area, removing weeds, planting indigenous plants and installing soil erosion controls.

Reefcare is a large group of community volunteers who meet each month to regenerate and conserve remnant areas of grasslands, sand dunes and marine migratory bird habitats on Long Reef’s Aquatic reserve, Collaroy.

Several community groups, including the Rozelle Bay and Callan Park Bushcare groups, use the Rozelle Bay Community Native Nursery to propagate plants to create Local Provenance Plant corridors. These corridors provide habitat for a wide variety of birds and other animals.

The Save Manly Dam Catchment Committee is a local community group with the aims of conserving the Manly Dam catchment, its streams and bushland surrounds; to maintain its flora and fauna and to improve its water quality.

This site has been set up for volunteer bush regenerators working at Sisters Bay in Drummoyne.

The Sutherland Shire Bushcare program is one of the largest in Sydney, with more than 700 volunteers involved in caring for over 120 bushland reserves, assisted by Council's Bushcare Officers.

Trees in Newcastle is a local native plant nursery, volunteer & education centre and provider of bush regeneration services.

Tumbi Wetland Bushcare is working on a Wyong Shire Council reserve and is aiming to preserve local flora. Weed management makes up a large part of this.especially at the margins of the reserve. As the area includes a major storm water outlet we also aim to improve the catchment for part of Tumbi Creek. With respect to this latter aim it has the support of the Hunter-Central Rivers Catchment Management Authority (CMA).

Tweed Landcare Incorporated is a non-profit community organisation working in the Tweed catchment to acheive long term ecological sustainabilty.  We support Landcare, Bushcare, Rivercare & Coastcare projects within the community through education, advice, on ground participation, networking, consultation and assistance with access to resources.

Bushcare is a community-based initiative combining Council resources, community volunteers and trained bush regenerators to restore, protect and enhance remnant bushland areas in Waverley.
